Interim Head of Payroll, Pensions and People Systems
We are looking to appoint an exceptional person to lead the Tooting campus Payroll, Pensions and People Systems team within Finance. The post holder will ensure that each stage of the payroll process complies with due processes and procedures, all staff are paid on time and accurately, correct payments are made and appropriate information provided to the pension schemes, HMRC and other statutory bodies. They will provide advice and expertise on Payroll and Pension issues and identifying the impact and implications of national imperatives and legislation developments. We would like to hear from highly competent candidates who have recent experience in iTrent and have experience of managing a payroll and pensions service.
Key attributes of the successful applicant include:
- CIPP qualified
- Experience of managing a payroll function in a medium or large sized organisation
- Operational experience of Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension schemes
- Staff management experience
- Experience of the following pension schemes: SAUL, USS and NHSSS
- High level of prioritisation and organisation to manage a high volume of work and priorities effectively
- Strong organisational, time-management and communication skills
- Enthusiasm and personal initiative to solve problems, a self-starter with ability to work unsupervised
