PLEASE NOTE: The starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $4,799.00 per month to $5,967.00 per month (Step 1 - Step 12).

About the Position

Please Note: Review of applications will begin on December 3, 2025.

The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the day-to-day administration of the processing area in International Admissions Office. This position also serves as liaison between IAO/CIE with ITS on issue: related to Salesforce throughout international programs. This position will lead and train student assistants on topics related to international admissions processing and office functions. Regular attendance is essential for the success of this job.

Responsibilities

International Student Applications

  • Accountable for the efficient operation of the international admissions process for CSUEB’s International Programs.
  • Monitor and execute all aspects of the application workflow to ensure consistent application of policy, document imaging, correspondence with applicants, etc.
  • Support the Admissions Evaluators in the collection and treatment of documents.
  • Track and monitor application statuses in student information systems and regularly update messaging to students to reflect office missions and values.
  • Provide support in the review and verification of student data in all used technologies.

Prospective Student Guidance

  • Ensure that prospective students, families, and community members are provided with accurate and consistent information regarding CSUEB’s International Programs application requirements and processes.
  • Provide clarification on CSUEB policies and procedures and coordinate with administrative offices and academic departments to provide guidance to students. Meet with students regarding application process via email, phone, and walk in.

Website and Technology

  • Responsible for reviewing, maintaining, and updating websites related to International Programs using Cascade or current technology.
  • Coordinate and verify website content for other related sites within International Programs and other areas within the division.
  • Ensure applications, cycles, and other dates are set in software related to international admissions.
  • Setup, monitor, and resolve auto messages for prospective students and applicants within Salesforce and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Lead Work Direction

  • Act as a lead and provide guidance to student workers and assistants on international student application guidance, triaging to appropriate team member, and overall office operations.
  • Provide ongoing training to student workers and advise Executive Director of personnel issues.
  • Work with Executive Director on hiring and evaluating student workers and setting schedules.
  • Support Executive Director on hiring in other areas as needed.

Support

  • Support International Programs staff in areas related to events, programming, data, and office functions.
  • Work collaboratively with college departments and advisors on program updates and make recommendations to improve workflow, communication, and student experience.

Reporting

  • Prepare statistical reports of application processing timelines and student enrollment for the Executive Director of International Programs.
  • Data used to track staff workflow efficiencies to ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Compile application data related to areas requested by Executive Director such as nationalities, programs, and more.

Minimum Qualifications

Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of international admissions practices.
  • Knowledge of CSUEB admissions policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge and ability to interpret CSUEB and International Programs policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using CSUEB PeopleSoft Student Administration and OnBase.
  • Ability to establish priorities and complete assigned duties/tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to analyze application/admission data and make accurate projections to adjust staffing and workflow processes to maximize results.
  • Strong attention to detail. Must be able to review data for accuracy and completeness and research and resolve discrepancies/errors.
  • Ability to develop and implement processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Establish good working relationships and work effectively with other departments.
