I. School Introduction
Qiqihar Institute of Engineering was founded in 1991, and has undergone several development stages, including the Qiqihar No. 1 Machine Tool Plant Staff and Workers’ Electromechanical College, Heilongjiang Dongya University, and Qiqihar Vocational College. In 2011, it was upgraded to a regular undergraduate university with the approval of the Ministry of Education and renamed Qiqihar Institute of Engineering, becoming the first municipal undergraduate university in Qiqihar City. In 2024, it was approved as a unit for the establishment of a master’s degree granting program. In 2025, it successfully passed the undergraduate education and teaching audit and evaluation of regular higher education institutions.
The school focuses on engineering disciplines, with management, medicine, and art disciplines developing moderately. It offers 24 undergraduate majors and currently has nearly 9,000 full-time students. Based in Qiqihar, serving Heilongjiang Province, and radiating across the country, it is committed to cultivating high-quality applied talents with lofty aspirations, sound character, solid foundation, outstanding strengths, and both innovative and practical abilities. - Professional Faculty: Computer Science and Technology, Information and Communication Engineering, Software Engineering, Integrated Circuits, Electronic Science and Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Control Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Medical Technology, Finance, Management Science and Engineering, Physical Education, and related fields.
III. Basic Requirements
- 1. Must abide by the Constitution and laws of the People’s Republic of China and respect the customs and traditions of the Chinese nation; must have no legal disputes or criminal record in their country of origin.
- 2. Except for ice and snow coaches, all foreign teachers should be able to teach or communicate in Mandarin Chinese.
- 3. Ice hockey coaches must hold a coaching certificate certified by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) or other internationally recognized organizations; ski coaches must hold an ISIA card (International Ski Instructors Association certification) or other internationally recognized coaching certificates; professional faculty members must hold a doctoral degree, and priority will be given to teachers holding assistant professor or higher positions in overseas universities or research institutions.
- 4. Good physical health, excellent personal qualities, a rigorous and pragmatic scientific approach, a positive and healthy mindset, and a strong team spirit. Applicants should generally be no older than 50.
IV. Salary and Benefits
- 1. Starting salary will be determined based on the foreign teacher’s education, relevant work experience, and other qualifications, according to the different standards for ice and snow coaches and professional foreign teachers. Specific details will be discussed in person.
