Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
We're looking for a culturally competent and student-focused coordinator to enhance the experience of international students at UC. In this engaging role, you'll design and deliver welcome and transition programmes for new international ākonga, peer-led support initiatives, and student development activities that help our international students thrive academically, socially, and personally. You'll work closely with students, staff, and external partners to deliver events, support services, and communications that make every student feel welcome and connected. If you have strong interpersonal skills, enjoy event coordination, and are passionate about supporting students in a diverse, multicultural environment — we'd love to hear from you!
Mōu | Who You Are
You will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a diverse, student facing role and hold a Bachelor's Degree (NZQA Level 7), as well as have:
- Experience coordinating events and projects
- Digital literacy (MS Office and social media: IG, WeChat, WhatsApp)
- Ability to speak a language other than English (preferred with a focus on Mandarin Chinese)
- Experience working with international tertiary students and student support networks/agencies
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvement and best practice initiatives
- An alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
