Job Summary
Maintain adequate levels of stock to meet daily distribution demands while minimizing excess supply. This role involves maintaining monthly inventory reports using a computerized database, recording a daily/weekly/monthly inventory count, maintaining accurate records in excel spreadsheets, ability to analyze data and supply trends, reporting findings to management, and making recommendations for improvement as necessary, distributing and organize supplies throughout campus which includes 170 buildings and 3 custodial warehouses. Must maintain constant communication with management to make sure items are replenished and maintain proper par levels. This position oversees the flow of inventory in and out of the warehouses. This position is responsible for ordering, delivery, loading, shipment, maintenance, and storage. The position requires exemplary organizational and record-keeping skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team consisting of up to 5 Delivery Workers
- Reconcile monthly budgets and inventory discrepancies
- Order and distribute custodial supplies and materials throughout all campuses
- Manage Auxiliary Warehouse duties, including receiving and verifying orders for campus deliveries
- Assist Custodial Maintenance with the installation of all dispensers across campus
- Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory for 4 designated storage locations
- Create, maintain and update inventory records in excel spreadsheets
- Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and provide good customer service
- Provide guidance to custodial staff on proper usage of supplies and equipment
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High School Diploma
Required Experience
Two (2) or more years experience in a warehouse, logistics or delivery field
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Associate's Degree or equivalent formal technical training/post-secondary education
Preferred Experience
Five (5) or more years of related work experience in warehouse management, delivery and/or logistics field
Proposed Salary
$17.13 - $20.96 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
