Troubleshoot and diagnose irrigation system failures using specialized diagnostic equipment, including wire tracers, toners, multimeters, and ground fault locators; track irrigation wiring, identify and repair electrical faults, and test computerized and conventional controllers, solenoid valves, irrigation heads, and two-wire irrigation systems.Install, repair, and replace irrigation valves, including manual and automatic control valves, ensuring proper system pressure, flow, and zone operation.Perform mainline repairs and modifications, including excavation, pipe replacement, and system restoration using trenchers, tractors, hand tools, and other specialized irrigation equipment.Locate, mark, and blue stake irrigation wiring and underground system components to support safe excavation, maintenance activities, and new irrigation installations.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Skill in using specialized diagnostic equipment, including toners, multimeters, wire locators, and ground fault locators to identify and resolve irrigation system issues.
- Knowledge of proper PVC solvent welding techniques for the installation and repair of irrigation piping systems.
- Experience assembling, repairing, and installing copper pipe assembly.
- Ability to diagnose irrigation system failures and implement effective repair solutions.
- Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including extreme heat.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety ReportIn compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an
Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
