IT Project Manager
Job Description
The IT Project Manager will lead projects and enhancements in the enterprise service management domain, with a focus on supporting lines of business leveraging BMC Helix Digital Workplace and Helix Business Workflow. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, on budget and to specification. The role includes functional lead, project management, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and ongoing operational support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Accountable for successful end-to-end project delivery in enterprise service management, particularly with BMC Helix platforms
- Oversee project execution to meet agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Manage procurement, including preparation of tender specifications, vendor evaluations, and contract management
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and vendors to ensure successful outcomes
- Balance fiscal efficiency with the delivery of project goals
- Drive continual service improvement initiatives for enterprise service management solutions
- Provide post-implementation support, maintenance, and enhancements aligned with SLAs
- Ensure compliance with IT security, data management, and corporate policies
- Respond to audit queries and ensure audit and security compliance
- Provide clear and regular project status updates to stakeholders, and manage scope changes as required
- Identify risks, analyse impact and implement mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports and meeting minutes
Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- At least 8 years of IT experience, including a minimum of 3 years in technical roles and at least 5 years as a Project Manager for medium-to-large projects with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise service management projects, especially involving BMC Helix Digital Workplace and Helix Business Workflow (highly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies and tools
- Strong business process and analytical skills; able to quickly assimilate information and clearly communicate complex requirements
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with all organisation levels and vendors
- Proactive, self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Highly organised, fast learner, with a positive and solutions-oriented minds
