Description:
Under direct supervision, the IT Support Assistant provides technical support for computer and communication systems in office and field environments. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining hardware and software, performing routine system administration, managing user accounts and data backups, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining equipment records, providing help-desk support, and assisting with basic repairs and staff training.
Qualification Requirement:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 18 months of relevant work experience or equivalent college education.
- IT college credits may substitute for required work experience.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Valid New York State driver’s license may be required for some positions.
