approximately ten to twelve students; one annual solo recital at Smith College; participation in at least one collaborative recital with faculty; maintaining an active performance schedule; assisting the Associate Chair for Performance Activities in coordinating the logistics of piano maintenance and organizing piano student recitals; and contributing to the administration of the department through committee service and other activities. A Master’s Degree in Music, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Competitive candidates will have earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the time of appointment. In addition to a competitive benefits package, starting pay is $60,000. Actual compensation will vary based on individual qualifications. A housing stipend is also available with this position.
