Position: Japanese Teacher (native Japanese speaker), 1 position

Location: Xiamen University main campus, 422 Siming South Road, Siming District, Xiamen City, Fujian Province, China

Start Date: September 2024 or February 2025

Duties

• Teaching: 12 periods per week (45 minutes per period)
• Supervision: Theses, competitions, etc.

Compensation

Masters: approx. 11,500 RMB/month ~ PhD: approx. 13,000 RMB/month (tax included). Paid over 12 months. Variable based on teaching experience. Incentives for research and teaching achievements. No housing provided.

Qualifications

• Masters degree or above.
• Graduate degree in Japanese education, linguistics, Japanese literature, Japanese culture, pedagogy, etc. Or holder of Japanese teaching qualification (Japanese as major or minor, or completion of 420-hour Japanese teacher training course, or passed Japanese Education Ability Test, or holder of middle/high school teacher license). Preference for those with 2+ years of Japanese teaching experience at public institutions.
• Age 55 or below.

Contract

1-year contract, renewable.
