Hunan University of Technology (HUT) – Japanese Lecturer Recruitment

To enrich foreign language education and strengthen talent development programs, Hunan University of Technology is recruiting qualified international language instructors. Applications and recommendations are welcome.

1. Application Qualifications:

We seek international educators who are enthusiastic about teaching in China and culturally sensitive.

• For Japanese language teaching, a bachelor's degree or higher, or qualifications as a lecturer (or equivalent position) is required.
• Preference given to those with degrees in linguistics, literature, education, or related fields.
• Applicants must be native or first-language speakers of the target language with at least 2 years of relevant language teaching experience. Those with teaching qualification certificates from their home country or internationally recognized language teaching qualifications may have the experience requirement waived.
• Applicants must be under 60 years old, in good physical and mental health, and demonstrate a serious commitment to higher education.
• Applicants must possess strong ethical and professional character, solid teamwork abilities, and fully comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China.
• Applicants must have no criminal record and no ongoing legal disputes in their country of residence.

2. Employment Details:

• Work Location: Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, People's Republic of China
• Job Responsibilities: Teach listening, speaking, reading, and writing in foreign languages, as well as other undergraduate courses, and may engage in education-related research.
• Teaching Hours: Maximum 16 class hours per week (45 minutes per class hour). Each semester consists of 16 weeks.

3. Compensation and Benefits:

• Language Lecturer Salary (after tax):
  • Bachelor's: 8,000 RMB per month
  • Master's: 9,000 RMB per month
• Annual Round-Trip Airfare Allowance: 10,000 RMB (after tax), based on contract terms.
• Annual Holiday Travel Allowance: 2,200 RMB (after tax) for summer and winter vacations.
• Furnished one-bedroom apartment with basic furniture, appliances, kitchenware, computer, and internet access.
• Performance Bonus based on student evaluations (after tax):
  • A Rating: 2,000 RMB
  • B Rating: 1,500 RMB
  • C Rating: 1,000 RMB
  • D Rating: No bonus
• Comprehensive insurance during the contract period.
• Reimbursement of China residence permit fees.

• No criminal record certificate from main place of residence.
