Applications are invited for the Jimenez Diaz predoctoral fellowship 2026 to join the Cellular and Molecular Biology in Renal and Vascular Pathology Research Group at the Health Research Institute Fundación Jiménez Díaz (IIS-FJD). The successful candidate will undertake a PhD thesis based on the project:
"Novel Biomarkers and Therapeutic Targets in Glomerular Cell-to-Cell Communication in Crescentic Glomerulonephritis"

Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in: Pharmacy; Biology; Biochemistry; Biotechnology or Related disciplines
- Applicants must have obtained their degree within the five years preceding the year of application for the fellowship.
- Applicants are not eligible if they:
- Have already begun predoctoral training funded through other predoctoral fellowships awarded under the Spanish State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research (PEICTI) 2022-2024 or previous State Research Plans.
- Hold a PhD degree awarded by any Spanish or international university.
- Have previously held a predoctoral contract for more than 12 months before joining the project.
Specific Requirements
- Strong academic record (minimum desirable GPA equivalent to 7.5/10).
- Demonstrable participation in research projects.
- Co-authorship of scientific publications.
- Co-authorship of communications presented at national and/or international conferences.
- Co-authorship of patents.
- Research stays or internships in academic or research institutions.
