Organization Profile: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country.

Job Title: JRF/Project Associate-I/ Project Fellow

Department: Chemicals & Petrochemicals

Essential Qualification:

• M.Sc. / MTech in Polymer Science / Physics/Chemistry/Plastics Engineering/ Material Science & Engineering/ Additive Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering/ Polymer Nanotechnology.
• Candidates having valid GATE/NET score shall be preferred
• Competency in Hands-on experience in handling sophisticated equipment/ machineries
• Should have good oral and written communication skills

Emoluments: As per sponsored project/ DST Norms and Guidelines

Period of Engagement: The position is purely temporary and initially only for a period of 01 (one) year but extendable if work is found satisfactory on a year-to-year basis till the completion of the Project.
