Organization Profile: National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is an “Institute of National Importance” with proclaimed objectives of becoming Centre of Excellence for advanced research in pharmaceutical sciences. NIPER-Mohali was the first institute established in the year 1998 under the aegis of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the Govt. of India. Later, the DOP established 6 new NIPERs across the country including NIPER-Hyderabad which started functioning from 19th October 2007, from the premises of erstwhile R&D Centre of IDPL, Balanagar, Hyderabad.

Project Title: “Fiber Reinforced Poly (l-lactic acid) for the Fabrication of Bioabsorbable, and Antibiotic Surgical Staples for Wound Closing”.

Departments having vacancy: Department of Medical Devices

Qualification: M. Tech/ M.S (Pharm)/ M. Pharm/ M. Sc in Pharmacy/ Medical Devices, Biomedical Engineering, Material Science, Nanotechnology, Physics, Chemistry Biotechnology, or Equivalent with minimum 60% marks in degree. Candidates with experience in the synthesis of biomaterials, along with expertise in their mechanical and biological characterization, will be given priority.

Salary: 37,000/- with admissible HRA

Terms and conditions: 1. The above position is purely contractual for a tenure of 12 months and extended one more year based on the performance of the candidate or the termination of the project, whichever is earlier. The continuation of the fellowship is subjected to satisfactory performance. 2. Selected candidate will not be entitled to claim for regular appointment/absorption in the institute. 3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. 4. Applications reaching after specified time may not be entertained. 5. Valid GPAT/NET/GATE qualification is mandatory. 6. Candidates with prior experience of working in a funded project will be preferred. 7. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.
