Organization Profile: The National Institute of Technology (formerly known as Regional Engineering College) Tiruchirappalli, situated in the heart of Tamil Nadu on the banks of the river Cauvery, was started as a joint and co-operative venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu during 1964 with a view to catering to the needs of man-power in technology for the Country. The College has subsequently been conferred with autonomy in financial and administrative matters to achieve rapid development.

Job Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Project Associate-I (PA-I)/ Project Associate-II (PA-II)

Project Title: A novel moment resisting bolted beam-column connection method for tubular steel concrete composite structures

Department: Civil Engineering

Essential Qualification: B. Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering & M. Tech / M.E. in Structural Engineering qualified in first class from AICTE/MHRD recognized Institute / University Qualified GATE Score; Age Limit < 35 years. Candidates with experience in steel structural design and skilled in using software like ABAQUS, ANSYS etc. are preferred.

Candidate Profile: The candidate should be completed a UG/PG in the relevant discipline with good academic records. The candidate should have excellent communication. Candidates should be passionate towards teaching and guiding students. The candidate should have good research record.

Job Location: Trichy, Tamilnadu

Pay Scale: For GATE qualified (JRF) – Rs. 31,000 per month; For Non-GATE (PA-I) – Rs. 25,000 per month; For Non-GATE (PA-II) – Rs. 28,000 per month

Duration: Initially for one year, later extendable up to two years based on performance.
