"Junior Research Fellow"

The National Institute of Technology, Agartala is recruiting for the position of Junior Research Fellow for the project titled "Production of Phycoerythrin (C-PE) from Anabaena sp.", sponsored by SERB-CRG, Government of India.

Organization Profile: The National Institute of Technology Agartala (NITA) is an Institute of National Importance established by the Government of India to promote excellence in technical education and research in the North-East region.

Essential Qualifications: A Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science (such as Microbiology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetic Engineering, or Allied life sciences) OR a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (such as Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Bioengineering, etc.), selected through processes like CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship), GATE, or national-level examinations conducted by Central Government agencies.

Desirable Qualifications: Candidates should have knowledge in computational and experimental fields related to the project and publications in SCI/SCIE/Scopus indexed journals.

Project Duration: The initial contract is for a maximum of one year, which may be extended until the project is completed.

Stipend: A consolidated amount of Rs 37,000 per month for the first two years and Rs 42,000 per month for the third year.

Job Location: NIT Agartala, Tripura.
