Organization Profile: The National Institute of Technology, Arunachal Pradesh was inaugurated on 18th August 2010 as a member of a group of ten new NITs. These new NITs were established as centers of excellence in technical education to combat the growing need for technological professionals in India. NIT Arunachal Pradesh started functioning under the mentorship of NIT Durgapur till, when the first permanent Director Prof. (Dr.) Chandan Tilak Bhunia assumed the charge on 1st November, 2011.

Job Title: Junior Research Fellow

Project Title: Documentation & Scientific Validation of Folk Knowledge on Medicinal Plants used by the Nyishi & Adi Communities of Arunachal Pradesh

Fellowship per month: Rs.37,000.00 (Plus 10%HRA)

How to Apply: The candidate has to report within 20.08.2025 to the Principal Investigator With the originals of all testimonials and four copies of passport size photo. The positions are purely temporary initially for 1 year and renewable till the completion of the project subject to the performance of the candidates and availability of fund. The candidate may be allowed to enroll for PhD following the guidelines of NIT Arunachal Pradesh. The candidates may be allowed to stay in hostels of NIT Arunachal Pradesh, subject to availability. Under this engagement, JRF will NOT be an employee of NIT Arunachal Pradesh. The candidates are to abide by the rules and regulations of DST (SHRI), Govt. of India and NIT Arunachal Pradesh.
