"Junior Research Fellow"

National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, West Bengal has announced job recruitment for the post of Junior Research Fellow. The position is for the project titled "Sustainable Ground Improvement Through Granular Column Filled with Coal Mine Overburden Aggregates".

Qualification: Candidate with M.Tech./M.E. with a minimum 6.0 CGPA or 60% marks in Geotechnical Engineering/Transportation Engineering/Structural Engineering or related specialization from any reputed Institutes/Universities. Candidates having experience in the field of Geotechnical Engineering will be given preference. Candidates who have completed their M.Tech program in the 2025 batch but have not yet received their official degree are also eligible to apply.

Duration: The position is for a period of three years or end of the project, subject to the candidate’s performance (evaluated every six months). After successful completion of two years as Junior Research Fellow, the candidate may be upgraded to Senior Research Fellow.

Job Location: Durgapur, West Bengal

Pay Scale: ₹25,000 per month (Accommodation as per Institute Norm).
