Research Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Title of the project: Bloch Surface Mode Excitation and Non reciprocity in Infrared and Tera/Giga-hertz Frequency Range Using Magnetophotonics Crystals

Sponsoring/Funding Agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India Core Research Grant

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Physics/Applied Physics or Equivalent from any recognized university with 55% Marks with CSIR-NET / SET or valid GATE Score. (Relaxation for SC/ST & PH candidates is as per GOI Norms)

Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge in the field of Theoretical Optics and Photonics & Basic knowledge of programming in CST-Microwave Studio, COMSOL Multiphysics & MATLAB.

Project Duration: 36 months

Stipend: Rs. 31000/- (+16% HRA) per month for first two years and 35,000/- (+16% HRA) for the third year.

1. CV should include details of academic grades starting from X standard onwards with details of the year of passing, university or institute, etc and also work experience and nature of work. Complete details of NET/GATE such as year of passing/validity, discipline, marks, all India rank should be mentioned in the CV and include details of M.Sc. dissertation /Project. Incomplete application will be rejected.
2. Appointment of the applicant is purely temporary and will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency particularly applicable to the said project.
