National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur is recruiting for the position of Junior Research Fellow.

Organization Profile: National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, formerly known as Regional Institute of Technology, was established on 15th August 1960 as a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Bihar to generate technical graduates of the highest standards.

Research Position: Junior Research Fellow

Title of the Project: Synthetic strategies for the construction of fused heterocycles, distal C-H functionalization and asymmetric synthesis of furan and pyran ring fused with desymmetrized cyclopentene-1,3 dione

Sponsoring Agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), New Delhi-110016

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent with at least 60% marks (or CGPA of 7.0 on a 10-point scale). Preference to NET/GATE qualified candidates.

Desirable Qualifications: Sound knowledge in organic chemistry.

Project Duration: 2.5 years or till completion, with initial appointment for one year, extendable based on performance.

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000 per month + HRA as per norms.
