National Institute of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar) is one of the 31 NITs of India and was established in 1967 as a Regional Engineering College in Silchar. In 2002, it was upgraded to the status of National Institute of Technology and was declared as Institute of National Importance under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007.

Job Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Project Title: Development of Low Cost Early Warning System for Detection of Earthquake Induced Landslide

Department: Department of ECE

Sponsor: NMHS, Govt. of India

Duration: 03 years or till Completion of the Project, whichever is earlier (extension of selected candidates would be based on performance review every 12 months)

Essential Qualification: JRF: M. Tech./M.E. degree in ECE/EE/E&I, with/without valid GATE/NET

Job Location: Silchar, Assam

Pay Scale: JRF: INR 37,000/- + HRA (with GATE/NET) or INR 25,000/- + HRA (without GATE/NET). JRF will be promoted to SRF after completion of two years.
