"Junior Research Fellow (JRF)"

Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) (PEC) is recruiting for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Mechanical Department for the project titled "Investigation into the combined effect of temperature and high strain rate on Magneto- rheological Elastomers with application to vibration control," sponsored by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology (DST).

Fellowship: Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA as per Institute norms.

Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech./MS in Mechanical, Materials, Materials and Metallurgy, Production, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, CAD/CAM, or related areas.

Desirable Qualification: Candidates with CSIR/UGC JRF/NET/GATE and relevant project experience will be preferred.

Age Limit: 28 years as of the last date of application, with relaxations for SC/ST/OBC and PWD as per Government of India norms.

Job Responsibilities: Perform assigned work and assist the Principal Investigator in various phases of the research project.

Tenture: Initial appointment for one year, extendable up to three years based on performance. The position is temporary and coterminous with the project.
