Organization Profile: National Institute of Technology Hamirpur is one of the thirty-one NITs of the country, which came into existence on 7th August 1986 as Regional Engineering College, a joint and cooperative enterprise of the Govt. of India and Govt. of Himachal Pradesh. At the time of inception, Institute had only two departments i.e, Civil and Electrical Engineering having an intake of 30 students in each.

Job Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Name of Project: Generative Adversarial Networks based Framework for Multi-View Synthesis and Decision-Making in Autonomous Systems

Essential Qualification: M.E./M.Tech. in CSE/IT/ECE/Allied branch or Master in Computer Application/ M.Sc (IT/CS/ Allied branch) AND B.E./B.Tech. in CSE/IT/ECE/Allied branch or Bachelor in Computer Application /B.Sc.(IT/CS/Math) with at least 60% marks in Bachelor & Master Degree from a recognized University/Institute. AND Candidate must be qualified National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE as per ANRF Guidelines.

Desirable experience: Prior experience with Deep Learning and Python programming on AI/ ML models.

Emolument: 37,000/-pm for first two years and 42,000/- for the third year plus HRA as per institute/project norms

Project Duration: Three years, Start Date: August 2025

Age Limit: Maximum age limit for JRF is 35 years as on last date of receipt of application. Upper age limit will be relaxed up to five years for reserved category candidates (SC/ST/ persons with disability (PWD)) and three years for OBC non-creamy layer candidates.
