"JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) / PROJECT ASSOCIATE-I (PA-I)"

National Institute of Technology Patna is seeking candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Project Associate-I (PA-I). This is a temporary position in the Department of Mechanical Engineering for the project titled: Development of Directed Energy Deposition Gas Metal Arc (DED-GMA) setup for fabricating Aluminium Alloy and Experimental Investigation on the Effect of Process Parameters on Metallurgical and Mechanical Properties of fabricated components.

Qualifications: For JRF, a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course, selected through CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or similar national exams. For PA-I, B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 65% marks or 6.5 CGPA, or M.E/M.Tech in Manufacturing or related specialization with 65% marks or 6.5 CGPA.

Duration: 3 years (initially one year, extendable based on performance). Job Location: Patna, Bihar. Pay Scale: JRF - 37,000 + HRA for first 2 years and 42,000 + HRA for the last year (with valid GATE/NET score); PA-I - 30,000 + HRA for first 2 years and 33,000 + HRA for the last year.
