The National Institute of Technology (formerly known as Regional Engineering College) Tiruchirappalli, situated in the heart of Tamil Nadu on the banks of the river Cauvery, was started as a joint and co-operative venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu during 1964 with a view to catering to the needs of man-power in technology for the Country. The College has subsequently been conferred with autonomy in financial and administrative matters to achieve rapid development.

Essential Qualification:

• (i) For GATE qualified – (JRF): B. Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering & M. Tech / M.E. in Structural Engineering qualified in first class from AICTE/MHRD recognized Institute / University; Age < 35 years GATE Score (Civil Engineering), qualified at least once, validity not required.
• (ii) For Non-GATE – (PA-I): B. Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering & M. Tech / M.E. in Structural Engineering qualified in first class from AICTE/MHRD recognized Institute / University; Age < 35 years
• (iii) For Non-GATE – (PA-II): B. Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering & M. Tech / M.E. in Structural Engineering qualified in first class from AICTE/MHRD recognized Institute / University; 2+ years of research experience; Age < 35 years
• 2) Desirable qualification: Candidates with experience in steel structural design and skilled in using software like ABAQUS, ANSYS etc. are preferred.

Job Location: Trichy, Tamilnadu

Pay Scale:

• For GATE qualified (JRF) – Rs. 31,000 per month
• For Non-GATE (PA-I) – Rs. 25,000 per month
• For Non-GATE (PA-II) – Rs. 28,000 per month

Duration: Initially for one year, later extendable up to two years based on performance
