The National Institute of Technology (formerly known as Regional Engineering College) Tiruchirappalli, situated in the heart of Tamil Nadu on the banks of the river Cauvery, was started as a joint and co-operative venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu during 1964 with a view to catering to the needs of man-power in technology for the Country. Essential Qualification

• JRF: B.E. / B. Tech in Civil Engineering & M.E. / M. Tech in Geotechnical Engineering or any other relevant specialization from an AICTE/MHRD recognized Institute / University with FIRST CLASS and Qualified GATE Score.
• Project Associate- I: B.E. / B. Tech in Civil Engineering & M.E. / M. Tech in Geotechnical Engineering or any other relevant specialization from an AICTE/MHRD recognized Institute / University with FIRST CLASS Score.
• Project Associate- II: B.E. / B. Tech in Civil Engineering & M.E. / M. Tech in Geotechnical Engineering or any other relevant specialization from an AICTE/MHRD recognized Institute / University with FIRST CLASS Score with 2 years research experience

Pay Scale

• For GATE qualified (JRF) – Rs. 31,000 per month
• For Non-GATE (PA-I) – Rs. 25,000 per month
• For Non-GATE (PA-II) – Rs. 28,000 per month

Duration

3 years but initially for a period of ONE YEAR and will be extended for the consecutive years based on the performance.
