Organization Profile: The National Institute of Technology (formerly known as Regional Engineering College) Tiruchirappalli, situated in the heart of Tamil Nadu on the banks of the river Cauvery, was started as a joint and co-operative venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu during 1964 with a view to catering to the needs of man-power in technology for the Country. Job Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Project Title: Indigenous Anesthesia Depth monitoring system using Brain Monitoring Technology

Department: Instrumentation and Control Engineering

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree (M.E/M.Tech) in Mechanical (or), Biomedical (or), Instrumentation Engineering with first class, selected through a process described through any one of the following: a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIRUGC, NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. Desirables: Candidate with relevant research experience in Biomechanics, Biomedical Signals & Image Processing, and Biomedical Instrumentation Design.

Job Description:

• To design experimental protocol and record biosignals
• To analyze the signals and develop learning models
• Test and validate the models
• Visit to the collaborative sports centers and laboratories in medical universities
• Participation in lab meetings and seminars
• Documentation

Job Location: Trichy, Tamilnadu

Pay Scale: Rs 31,000/- + 18% HRA

Duration: Initially six months and extendable to three years (6 months + 30 months) based on the performance of the candidate.
