About College: At present, the institute offers Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) programme in the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. This programme is spread over a period of eight semesters. The institute also offers M.Tech programme in several disciplines including Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The institute also offers M.Sc programme in the following disciplines: Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Additionally the institute also offers M.S(R) programmes in Computer Science and Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

Job Position: Junior Research Fellow/ Project Assistant

Employment Type: Temporary

Project Title: “Synthesis of Functional Epoxy and other Precursors/Monomers and their Self-healing Polymers”

Department: Chemistry

Educational Qualification: First Class (6.5 grades point out of 10) or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) in Master or equivalent degree in Chemistry/ Materials Science, with qualified NET or GATE for JRF. Candidates without NET/GATE qualifications may be considered for the project assistant position.

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry/ Polymer Science or Technology/ Material Science

Desirable Qualification: 1. GATE/NET qualified 2. Candidates with knowledge on Polymer Materials 3. Knowledge on Polymer Characterization

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- per month (First two years) + HRA; Rs. 35,000/- per month (Third year as SRF) + HRA

Duration: 20 Months or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier (the position is purely temporary and subjected to availability of funds and yearly research progress). The performance will be reviewed periodically)
