Organization Profile: The National Institute of Technology (formerly known as Regional Engineering College) Tiruchirappalli, situated in the heart of Tamil Nadu on the banks of the river Cauvery, was started as a joint and co-operative venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu during 1964 with a view to catering to the needs of man-power in technology for the Country. Project Title: Innovative and Environment Friendly Ground Improvement Technique for Mitigate Seismic Soil Liquefaction Risk

Essential Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering & M.Tech / M.E. in Geotechnical Engineering / Earthquake Engineering or any other relevant specialization from an AICTE/MHRD recognized Institute / University with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA

Job Description: To execute the research work detailed in the entitled project. Compilation of the outcomes of the results. Report Preparation. The selected candidates will be permitted to register for the Ph.D. program as per NITT rules and regulations.

Job Location: Trichy, Tamilnadu

Pay Scale: For GATE qualified: Rs. 31,000 per month for the first two years, Rs. 35,000 per month for the third year. For Non-GATE: Rs. 25,000 per month for the first two years, Rs. 28,000 per month for the third year.

Duration: 3 years but initially for a period of ONE YEAR and will be extended for the consecutive years based on the performance.
