Research Position: Junior Research Fellow

Department: Department of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering

Title of the project: Molecular Phylogeny of microbial assemblages of the seawater cooling system of a nuclear power plant

Sponsoring/Funding Agency: Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS)

Essential Qualifications: B.Tech with GATE/M.E./M. Tech degree in Biotech with specialization in Biotechnology, Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Biotechnology, or similar fields with above 65% (7 CGPA) of marks.

Desirable Qualifications: Experience on Molecular Biology, Environmental Biotechnology and Microbiology is desirable for Biotech background students. GATE score will be preferred.

Project Duration: 03 years

Consolidated monthly Fellowship: i) 1st Year: Rs. 31,000.00 ii) 2nd Year: Rs. 31,000.00 iii) 3rd Year: Rs. 35,000.00 Based on the performance of the research work the fellowship will be converted into Institute fellowship as per Institute rule.
