Banaras Hindu University is an internationally reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi. This Creative and innovative university was founded by the great nationalist leader, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, in 1916 with cooperation of great personalities like Dr Annie Besant, who viewed it as the University of India. Banaras Hindu University was created under the Parliamentary legislation – B.H.U. Act 1915. It played a stellar role in the independence movement and has developed into the greatest center of learning in India. It has produced many great freedom fighters and builders of modern India and has immensely contributed to the progress of the nation through a large number of renowned scholars, artists, scientists and technologists who have graced its portals.

Title of the project: Design and Synthesis of Some Novel Analogues of FNC (2′-deoxy-2′-β-fluoro-4′-azido-β-D-arabinofuranosyl cytidine) and their Biological Evaluation as Anti-HBV Agents

Qualifications: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Chemistry with minimum 55% marks and have qualified UGC/CSIR-NET or GATE

Candidate Profile:

• The candidate should be completed a UG/PG in the relevant discipline with good academic records.
• The candidate should have excellent communication
• Candidates should be passionate towards teaching and guiding students
• The candidate should have good research record

Job Location: Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh

Desirable Qualifications:

• M. Sc. specialization in Organic Chemistry
• The candidate should have good analytical
• The knowledge of characterization techniques of organic molecules is desirable
• Familiarity with nucleoside chemistry is also desirable

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA (as per norms).

Duration: The project is up to 27th February, 2025
