"Junior Research Fellow"

Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata, is seeking candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow for the project titled "Infinite Dimensional Analysis in Modern Economics Scenarios," sponsored by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB).

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Mathematics/Statistics from a recognized Institute or University with a valid CSIR/UGC NET/GATE score or passed National Level examinations conducted by Central Government departments such as DST, DBT, DAE, DRDO, MHRD, ICMR, IIT, IISC, ISI, IISER, etc.

Desirable Qualification: Strong background in Real Analysis and Measure Theory. Good understanding of Topology, Functional Analysis, Stochastic Processes, and other areas of Mathematics and Statistics is encouraged.

Pay: Fixed Pay of Rs. 37,000/- per month plus House Rent Allowance as per Institute rules.

Tenant: The appointment is for one year from the date of joining, which may be extended or terminated based on funds and performance.

Job Location: Kolkata, West Bengal.

Age: Should not exceed 35 years as of 01 July 2024, with relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/Women and differently-abled candidates.
