Organization Profile: The history of the IIT system dates back to 1946 when a committee was set up by Hon’ble Sir Jogendra Singh, Member of the Viceroy’s Executive Council, Department of Education, Health and Agriculture to consider the setting up of Higher Technical Institutions for post war industrial development in India. The 22 member committee headed by Sri N.R.Sarkar, in its report, recommended the establishment of four Higher Technical Institutions in the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern regions, possibly on the lines of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, with a number of secondary institutions affiliated to it.

Job Title: Junior Research Fellowship

Project Title: Smart Water Mist Fire-Fighting System for Storage Tank Fires(FSF)

Department having vacancy: Centre of Excellence on Safety Engineering & Analytics (COE-SEA)

Qualification: Bachelor or Master degree from a well-recognised university or equivalent in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Petroleum Engineering or Fire Safety Engineering or Fire Engineering with the first class throughout from class 10th (matriculation) onwards. Selected through a process described through any one of the following: a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC, NET, Including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER

Pay Scale: Upto Rs.37000(depending upon qualification & experience)
