Junior Research Scientist in the Center for Translational Medical Devices (CENTMED)

The Center for Translational Medical Devices (CENTMED) at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a Junior Research Scientist to join this new initiative focused on designing and developing a machine perfusion system to improve organ preservation.

The candidate will work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment alongside PhD-level engineers and scientists, graduate students, and full-time researchers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on next-generation organ preservation technologies, bridging the gap between engineering innovation and clinical application and allowing for longer preservation times and improved transplantation outcomes.

Applicants must have a BS (MS preferred) in Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, two years of experience in a laboratory setting, and an ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team; with strong organization, communication, problem-solving and time management skills. Applicants should ideally be familiar with control systems, mechanical manufacturing, and fluid dynamics. High proficiency in English is req.
