"Junior Researcher Education Logistics"

Job Summary: For the Education Logistics research project, we are seeking an enthusiastic junior researcher to guide schools in transitioning to a system that enables personalized learning paths for students in (technical) education through the successful implementation of effective and efficient education logistics. This will be done collaboratively with schools via a design-oriented innovation process.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting workshops on education logistics within the involved schools.
• Analyzing current logistical processes in schools, collecting data, and creating an overview of available ICT technology.
• Conducting interviews and observations in schools to identify potential challenges in implementing more customized approaches, understanding desired future scenarios, and determining applicable design criteria.
• Formulating possible designs for future education logistics.
• Creating presentations and writing reports on findings.
• Providing support to the project leader.

A portion of the work will take place on-site at schools in the Arnhem-Nijmegen region.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A completed master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technology and Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research).
• Demonstrable writing and presentation skills.
• Strong communication and social skills.
• Affinity with education.
• Good proficiency in the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
• A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is required for appointment.

What the Employer Offers:

• A fixed-term contract for 12 months.
• Salary scale 10, depending on education and experience, between €3,378 and €5,331 gross per month for a full-time position.
• 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year bonus.
• Option to choose a workweek of 36, 38, or 40 hours.
