Essential Job Duties:
- Serve at least 60 Duplin County students and their families in the program.
- The Juntos Coordinator will facilitate and lead family workshop series and family night events (at least four family nights if they are not facilitating Family Engagement Workshops that year). Family Nights will be focused on educational topics and centered around the families' interests.
- As part of the Juntos 4-H club activities, the Juntos Coordinator will hold two-three contact hours of 4-H Club meetings every month that will be held after school (or during school) throughout the school year, with organizational support from 4-H agents, volunteers, and community partners. 4-H Club meetings will be focused on academic success and STEM learning, as well as career exploration and community service.
- The Juntos Coordinator will also provide one-on-one monthly Success Coaching sessions to 30 enrolled youth in Juntos. These youth will be chosen through collaborative efforts with school staff, including teachers and counselors that may have recommendations.
- The Juntos Coordinator is expected to check in individually with Juntos staff monthly during the school year. They are expected to join 8 out of 10 monthly statewide Juntos coordinator calls/National Juntos Consortium calls. They will also receive at least one monitoring site visit and report from the state office which will be shared with their supervisor.
- The Juntos Coordinator will take students on field trips to colleges and other Juntos events. One such event is the Juntos Summer Academy, where youth participate in special university classes, college student panels, STEM activities, and leadership training. Students also attend local summer camps in the county offered in conjunction with Duplin County 4-H (when applicable).
- The Juntos Coordinator will recruit, supervise, and coordinate the program's volunteers to act as tutors or mentors during their Juntos activities. Additionally, volunteers will participate in the delivery of workshops about study skills, life skills, STEM learning and STEM careers, career and college exploration, college entrance exams, college applications, financial aid, and transitions to higher education.
- The Juntos Coordinator will work with the local 4-H Agent and with school administration to ensure that all volunteers have criminal background checks following Duplin School District and State 4-H established procedures. This includes ensuring all adults and youth are registered on 4-H Online.
- The Juntos Coordinator will abide by any and all relevant Duplin School District policies (as listed above and others; e.g., staff conduct, student conduct, treatment property, discipline policy); and
- The Juntos Coordinator will work with school, Extension, and other community leaders to build a local program Sustainability Partners Committee in the county.

A successful candidate will: Exhibit initiative, Have strong problem solving skills, Have excellent organizational skills, Exhibit dependability, Be bilingual (Spanish-English), Have effective written and verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, Experience working in family engagement, student engagement, and community engagement, as well as having an understanding of the local school system.
