As a K-12 STEM instructor, you will be responsible for designing and delivering an engaging curriculum that fosters a love for STEM and computing subjects among students. You will play a crucial role in preparing students for future careers in these fields by providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed.

The candidate for the K-12 STEM Instructor will be responsible for:

• Curriculum Development: Create and implement innovative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and incorporate the latest advancements in STEM and computing education.
• Instruction: Deliver high-quality instruction in STEM and computing subjects, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to engage and inspire students.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress, providing feedback to support their growth.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and mutual respect.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and improve instructional practices.
• Technology Integration: Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning experiences and better prepare students for technology-driven careers.
• Student Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to students interested in pursuing careers in STEM and computing fields.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven instructional experience in education, including a teaching certification or equivalent experience
• Proven understanding of STEM and computing principles and the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree

Pay Band: 4

Overtime Status: Non-Exempt: Eligible for overtime

Appointment Type: Restricted

Salary Information: Commensurate with experience

Hours per week: up to 29 hours per week
