Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Kaitaki, Awhinuku - Team Leader, Service Provision to join the Mana Taurite me te Oranga Tauira - Student Equity and Wellbeing Portfolio team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead a team of administration staff to ensure they are effectively managed to provide professional and timely customer service for students accessing equity services.
- Foster a positive, focused, collaborative, innovative and inclusive team culture.
- Collaborate with key service delivery partners to ensure students receive a seamless service.
- Lead the continuous development of service provision to ensure it meets the needs of today’s student and is delivered effectively and efficiently.
- Provide timely, engaging communication and events content to support students to be well informed and connected.
- Contribute to service development and planning, including the coordination and management of projects.
Ō pūmanawa - About you
You will be a results-driven administration lead with proven expertise in managing front-line teams, streamlining complex service delivery, and upholding high standards of customer service.
Key requirements:
- Proven service leadership experience supporting a front-line team, fostering a positive, collaborative and inclusive culture.
- Experience in overseeing day-to-day operations, including planning and task management.
- A genuine commitment to the upholding the dignity of equity students.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, and experience with databases or client management systems.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
