KCOM - Family Medicine Residency Supervisor/Assistant Professor
A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a part-time, exempt Assistant Professor Family Medicine Residency Supervisor on the Kirksville, Missouri campus. The Family Medicine Residency Supervisor will oversee all facets of the KV Family Medicine Residency Program, for up to 12 residents. He or she will provide direct supervision based on resident PGY level, assign clinical responsibilities consistent with resident competence, provide bedside and clinic-based teaching aligned with FM milestones, conduct direct observation of resident clinical encounters and provide timely feedback, and adhere to ACGME program requirements and institutional policies. This position reports to the Kirksville Family Medicine Residency Program Director.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Clinical supervision and patient safety - Provide direct and indirect supervision and be readily available for consultation and escalation of care; ensure safe handoffs, continuity of care, and appropriate transitions.
- Graduated responsibility - Assign clinical responsibilities consistent with resident competence.
- Teaching & Education - Provide bedside and clinic-based teaching; model professionalism, interprofessional collaboration, and ethical practice
- Evaluation & Feedback - Conduct direct observation of resident clinical encounters; provide timely formative feedback; complete summative evaluations mapped to ACGME family medicine milestones; identify residents requiring remediation and collaborate on improvement plans.
- Compliance & Program Support - Adhere to ACGME program requirements; maintain appropriate licensure and board certification.
- Scholarly & Quality Engagement - Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Experience & Education
- DO or MD required.
- Three to six years experience required.
- Strong understanding of osteopathic principles and medical education preferred.
- Evidence of successful collaboration, mentorship, and administrative effectiveness.
