Job description:
Are you a people person with a knack for building relationships and a desire to solve problems?
We’re looking for a talented Key Account Manager to join our busy commercial team. You’ll play a crucial role in nurturing some of our most important industrial relationships, delivering engagements and information and making sure that your accounts make the most of their collaboration with the AMRC.
About us
At the AMRC we’re all about making an impact. Our values—integrity, kindness, creativity, open-mindedness, and pragmatism—drive us to help manufacturers become better, faster, cheaper, and greener. Our technical teams are pioneering cutting-edge research and development to bring new technology from the lab to the factory floor. You’ll be part of our commercial team, working hard to keep our project pipeline full and our clients happy.
The role
You’ll be the main point of contact for some of our most important industrial partners. You’ll have the freedom to shape this role, using your skills to ensure that the Partnership runs smoothly and that companies get the most out of their partnerships with us. Expect plenty of variety; from networking and building relationships with people, to presenting to very senior personnel, to monitoring project portfolios and technology use. You will also be researching company information, arranging visits or events, working with colleagues to understand new technologies and their applications. You’ll need to be organised to keep everything on track.
What we’re looking for
- Empathetic Listener: You truly understand client needs and build deep, trusting relationships.
- Collaborative Spirit: You work seamlessly with teams and value diverse perspectives.
- Insightful Problem Solver: Your commercial savvy is matched by your ability to adapt to unique situations.
- Committed: You’re passionate about the UK Defence sector and ready to undergo security clearance.
- Resilient: You handle uncertainty with confidence and maintain a positive outlook, even when faced with unexpected hurdles.
- Adaptive Thinker: You quickly adjust to changing circumstances and find innovative solutions to new challenges.
What you’ll get
- 41 days annual leave (including closure days and Bank Holidays), with the possibility to purchase up to ten additional days.
- Up to 5 days of paid time off to cover emergency caring responsibilities.
- A commitment to work life balance including, flexible working opportunities and hybrid working where possible
- A highly competitive pension scheme.
- Discounts at participating shops and cinemas, and a cycle to work scheme.
- A commitment to your development, with programmes, learning modules and mentoring schemes.
- An inclusive and diverse workplace.
- A commitment to your wellbeing, with confidential emotional support, support for those going through the menopause, experiencing fertility treatment and having a baby, paid leave for IVF treatment and more.
