Position Summary:

Assist in the food service and laundry operations at Hiersteiner Child Development Center (HCDC).

Required Qualifications:

• Entry-level support role.
• Performs routine tasks as directed and under close supervision.
• Requires a High School Diploma and 0-3 years of related experience.

Position Details:

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist in meal preparations to ensure food is prepared and served in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the kitchen and in food prep areas.
• Follow all center, state, national accreditation, and federal food program regulations.
• Ensure all equipment necessary to prepare meals is operated properly.
• Incorporate produce from the Children's Garden in meal planning when possible.
• Gather materials for classroom cooking or nutrition activities when needed.
• Collect laundry from classrooms, place in washing machine, move to dryer, fold, and return to classroom.
