Description

This position is responsible for the receiving, verification and distribution of food products and supplies for the Dining Center and Grab N Go operations. Works with purchaser on defective, or outages of product for credit. Based on need, flexible work hours and varied schedules are required that may include Nights, Holidays, or Weekends. Person may be required to provide assistance of product/supplies to other operations on Campus, and assist with Catering Functions as appropriate.

Examples of Duties

• Receives freight and supplies (food/nonfood/chemicals) three times a week
• Checks orders versus invoices
• Notes and returns for credit any damaged or unusable products
• Maintains HACCP standards for receiving and storage
• Delivers items to appropriate areas
• Dates and rotates inventory FFIO
• Pulls product for daily usage out of storage
• Rotates product form long term freezer to daily/weekly storage as needed.
• Proper usage of hand track/freight elevator/outdoor lift.
• Notifies Chef/Management of defective equipment or equipment needs.
• Cleans and maintains all storage areas
• Assists in trash/cardboard disposal and recycling.
• May assist in transporting supplies/product for catering or retail services

Typical Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

Experience: Previous experience in receiving freight or food service product knowledge preferred
