About the Role 

We have an exciting role for an experienced Knowledge and Communications Specialist.


The Knowledge and Communications Specialist plays an essential role reporting to the Associate Director of Digital Workplace Operations (DWX) at Swinburne IT. Tasked with managing and maintaining the knowledge ecosystem using Knowledge Centred Service (KCS). This role serves as the main point of contact for communications from the Service Centre and collaborates with IT teams to enhance the knowledge ecosystem, oversee client satisfaction, and manage communication across various channels.


Swinburne IT aims to leverage technology to streamline and transform university operations, aligning its initiatives with the strategic pillars of Future Ready Learners, Research with Impact, and Innovative Enterprise. Swinburne IT also supports the university's teaching, learning, and research efforts, enhancing the experiences of students and researchers through digital innovations.


The Digital Workplace Experience function provides daily support and services to staff and students, emphasizing collaboration across IT teams to ensure high-quality, responsive service and continuous improvement.


About You 

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 


•  Lead the development and maintenance of the knowledge ecosystem within the portfolio for support staff and end users by consistently providing high quality feedback, updates, and new articles consumed across IT’s digital omni-channels.

•  Analyse patterns, trends and usage of KCS articles and coordinate the review, implementation, and retirement of articles. 

•  Maintain operational methods, procedures, and facilities in assigned area of responsibility and review regularly for effectiveness and efficiency.

•  Responsible for monitoring, maintaining and growing the knowledge base 

•  Writing, editing, and creating new and modifying existing communication plans and templates for consumption by DWX

•  Develop and maintain an operational communications plan utilised by DWX for day-to-day communications and regular communications via Swinburne’s internal channels

Qualifications

•  Postgraduate level qualifications (or progress towards) in information technology, information systems, and extensive relevant experience or equivalent combination of education & experience
