Job Overview

Shandong University is recruiting 1-2 excellent Korean nationality teachers for language and professional categories to enhance the internationalization level of the Korean Department.

Positions

• Language and Professional Foreign Teachers: 1-2 positions

Basic Requirements

• Comply with the Constitution and laws of the People's Republic of China, respect Chinese customs, no legal disputes or criminal records.
• Currently residing in China.
• Korean nationality, standard Korean pronunciation, preference for those proficient in Chinese.
• Hold a PhD degree, preferably in linguistics, literature, education, history, culture, philosophy, politics, economics, sociology, or related fields.
• Language teachers: Specialized training in language teaching or at least 2 years of university-level Korean teaching experience.
• Professional teachers: Relevant professional experience, preference for assistant professors or above in overseas universities or research institutions.
• Under 45 years old (born after January 1, 1977), age limit may be relaxed for exceptionally outstanding candidates.

Job Duties

• Location: School of Foreign Languages, Shandong University, Lixia District, Jinan City, Shandong Province.
• Language Teachers: Teach speaking, listening, writing courses (12-16 hours/week); guide students in competitions; undertake department-assigned social services.
• Professional Teachers: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses (8-10 hours/week); plan and apply for Korean research projects; handle academic exchanges with Korea; undertake department-assigned social services.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: Language teachers: 12,000-13,600 CNY/month; Professional teachers: 13,000-32,000 CNY/month (based on qualifications, title, experience).
• Comprehensive medical insurance for foreigners and Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan visitors.
• Apartment rental provided; utilities and rent borne by the employee.
