The Veatch lab is interested in developing new T cell therapies in patients with cancer, and studies samples from cancer patients and mouse models of cancer. We are hiring a Lab Aide to work under the close supervision of the Lab Manager or other lab personnel and perform routine work in our lab. Responsibilities

PRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Prepare media and reagents, such as stock solutions.
• Rinse and prepare glassware for cleaning. Deliver glassware to storage areas.
• Maintain clean and orderly laboratory area.
• Clean and maintain lab equipment.
• May check, replenish, and order supplies.
• May assist with experiments and set-up.
• Perform simple, routine and repetitive laboratory tests and procedures as directed.
• Perform clerical duties as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation from High School or equivalent with interest in the sciences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Some lab experience and/or college level chemistry courses. Preferably Sophomore/Junior in college.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $20.76 to $29.54 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees access to a retirement savings plan, an employee assistance program, paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked), and prorated paid holidays (up to 13 days per year).
