Summary

Assists senior lab personnel with animal colony, science experiments, poster preparation and maintenance of inventory of lab supplies such as reagents, pipets and restock supplies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of basic scientific technology
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to manage and maintain animal colony
• Genotyping and provide mutant mouse for further experiment
• Knowledge of basic laboratory safety requirements
• Computer skills dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information
• Analytical skills necessary to operate laboratory computers, printers and laboratory equipment
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently
• Ability to read and perform basic math calculations
• Perform routine lab work/tasks assigned by PI and supervisor

Required Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with no experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred Bachelor's degree and one year of directly related experience

This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 20.
