Job Summary:
The Morrison Laboratory at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is a dynamic, fast-paced research laboratory focused on viral immunology and medical countermeasure development (i.e., therapeutics and vaccines). We seek a new team member to take a lead role in performing cutting-edge experimental science. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic group of scientists and develop key research skills. In addition, opportunities exist to learn state-of-the-art research techniques at the forefront of immunological and infectious disease research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize a variety of laboratory techniques required for research projects.
- Perform experiments and tabulate and analyze research findings.
Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field
- One (1) year professional-level research experience.
- The candidate must have experience with animal studies, immunological assays, and cell culture-based assays.
Substitution: Or a combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field
- Two (2) years of experience in an experimental or wet laboratory. The candidate must have experience with animal studies, immunological assays, and cell culture-based assays.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of basic laboratory safety procedures.
- Experience with animal studies, immunological assays, and cell culture-based assays.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the laboratory and institution
- Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information
