"Laboratory Technician"

Under the direction of the PI and senior scientists, the Laboratory Technician will be responsible for the daily care and husbandry of laboratory mouse colonies, as well as tissue collection and processing, as part of a large scale neuronal transcriptional mapping study.

Job-Specific Responsibilities: Using established protocols and technical procedures, the Lab Technician will carry out animal housing organization and census, breeding, genotyping, and daily health observations. He/she will also assist with and perform tissue collection and banking, tissue processing for nuclei isolation by FACS sorting, and other related duties and tasks, depending on time constraints and the needs of the lab.
