Laboratory Technologist

Job Description

Temasek Laboratories@NUS is seeking a Laboratory Technician to maintain lab daily operation to support the researchers. The candidate will be responsible for managing the Aerodynamics/Propulsion laboratory, including laboratory administration, inventory management, housekeeping, safety training and audit, procurement process and other administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering such as experimental set up; mechanical and simple electrical design, construction, repair, operations; managing fabrication work by contractors; providing test support such as engine testing, wind tunnel testing, battery charging, maintenance, storage; equipment operations.
• Laboratory administration and management such as store, inventory management, housekeeping, safety matters, purchasing.
• Lab management to ensure proper day-to-day running and operation of the lab. Safety management to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Polytechnic Diploma in an engineering field or other equivalent engineering qualification
• Experience in engineering work, lab operation
• Basic computer skills such as email, Microsoft office, work productivity apps
• Good communication skills in English
• Candidate should be a team player and is willing to learn and contribute
