A. General Labor Percent Time: 45%
- Load and unload trucks; incoming/outgoing freight.
- Unload and deliver supplies to various departments and locations.
- Pick up, haul, and/or sort garbage, recycling, composting and food refuse materials.
- Hoe, spade or water garden flower plots and beds.
- Cut grass or mow lawns.
- Shovel snow.
- Operate various types of engine-driven equipment such as: lawn mowers, snow blowers, power rakes, small tractors, chain saw, pole saw, bucket lift, tree spade, chipper, etc.
- Operate hand power lawn tools.
- Light mechanical duties; daily maintenance of mowers, blade changing, etc.
- Clean streets, catch basins.
- Paints interior and exterior portions of buildings; doors, windows, walls and ceilings.
- Paints other structures: pipes, screens, doors, walls, ceilings, fixtures, floors and walks.
- Move furniture and equipment.
- Operate 60 foot aerial lift.
- Prepare area; wash, remove wallpaper, sand, scrape, patch, etc.
- Daily cleaning in an academic setting: floors, walls, windows, fixtures, waste, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
Needs to be able to follow orders. Read, write and understand English.
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $23.17/hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
